Back, Neck & Spine Conditions
Back, neck, and spine conditions can affect far more than movement. Pain, stiffness, weakness, numbness, or tingling may interfere with work, sleep, exercise, and everyday activities. At Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostics (PMRDocs), our physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists help patients understand what may be causing their symptoms and develop personalized, non-surgical treatment plans focused on reducing pain and restoring function.
We provide comprehensive spine and musculoskeletal care for patients in Tampa, Bradenton, and throughout the surrounding communities.

Seek immediate medical attention for severe symptoms such as a sudden loss of strength, loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness around the groin, or significant pain following a serious accident.
How Are Back, Neck and Spine Conditions Diagnosed?
Your evaluation begins with a discussion of your symptoms, medical history, previous injuries, and treatment goals. A PM&R provider may also assess your strength, reflexes, sensation, flexibility, posture, and range of motion.
When appropriate, your provider may review or recommend diagnostic testing such as X-rays, MRI imaging, or electrodiagnostic testing. An electromyography and nerve-conduction study—commonly called an EMG/NCS—can help determine whether symptoms are related to a pinched nerve, nerve damage, or another neuromuscular condition.

Non-Surgical Treatment Focused on Function
Treatment is based on your diagnosis, symptom severity, health history, and functional goals. Your individualized care plan may include:
- Activity and lifestyle recommendations
- Physical or occupational therapy
- Medications when appropriate
- Home exercise and stretching guidance
- Bracing or supportive equipment
- Trigger-point or joint injections
- Image-guided spine procedures
- Nerve blocks
- Coordination with other medical specialists
Our goal is not simply to address pain. We work to help you move more comfortably, improve function, and participate more fully in the activities that matter to you.
